Illegal or legal ?

The US government would never interfere with their citizens actions outside the juridiction of US law.

Unless there is a precedant case, no one can give you an answer in confidence.

Will the government go looking for stuff like that? Probably not.

If you piss someone off, and they want you ass, it will be enough to make your life hell, though.

Looks like I will be moving to Canada.

Why don't you just contact a lawyer and get a REAL answer? Would cost you maybe $100 to find out where you stand..

How many statutes could possibly come in to play? 100's. Easilly.

And the issue is not really whether you are breaking the law. It is what happens if you get charged, and the time interval until you are acquitted (hopefully).

The war on drugs (and the constitution) is very ugly. A lot of guilty until proven innocent. Seize computers for evidence, ban you from the internet...

The move to Canada idea is the right one!
