how can i extract from a .SWF file?
 

i'm looking for a program that lets me extract bits from a flash .SWF file

i build this wicked flash thing a few years ago but i can't find the .FLA file

swf - set in stone

actionscript viewer can help u i think
search for it in google or donwload.com

Yea, I don't think you can do that either.

Other wise I'd go through and make all these banners soundless.....

cant the new flashmx load up .swf files and edit them? or am i wrong?

It's true

forget to name of it, but there are a couple small apps that let you extract pieces and actionscript from an swf. You'll have to look around on google as they aren't easy to find.

Also, this doesn't make an editable file. It just lets you see the inner code and take pieces from it.

You can import an swf into flash, but you won't be able to edit it, or take anything from it.

if you don't know how to make it in the first place you may have trouble understanding the decompiled stuff

Open in Notepad.

You can extract all ASCII characters you see. :1orglaugh
