Any Olympus or canon users?

Shoplifter 07-10-2004 11:54 PM

The Canon 10D or Nikon D70 are better than any fixed lens 8mp camera.

Very nice photos. But y are you getting cameras that are so expensive, when the monitors that about 90% of the people are using can not display that quality???

Y not put the money into something for your kids, wife or what ever???

My opinion? 8 mpx cameras are very expensive. :glugglug

Unless your doing print work dont worry about the 8mpx. If it were me I would go for a 6mpx. Now if I were to choose an 8mpx I would go with Nikon. Clarity is great with them.

born4porn 07-11-2004 01:46 AM

I just got a 6 megapixel camera and they are up to 8 already! :helpme

What settings did you have your 10D on for those shots?

detroitiron 07-11-2004 01:56 AM

I used the 24-70L lens for most, and the 70-200 2.8 L for some of the longer shots. It's quite bright here so I can keep it at ISO 100 which seems to produce the best resolution.

dunefield 07-11-2004 03:01 AM

i have a Sony digi cam but most camera lovers like nikon...

Calvinguy 07-11-2004 03:08 AM

Are you shooting for the web? 8M is overkill for that in my opinion, besides it's the lens that make the picture good not the amount of pixels.

Agreed go with... Canon EOS 6.3MP Digital Rebel Camera

m2mm 07-11-2004 04:36 AM

Olympus 8080! Reality colors, very low noise, very high quality.

thatjen 07-11-2004 06:56 AM

I haven't done research on the new 8 megapixel cameras, although I'm partial to Nikon and Canon. I was just responding because I like your nick/name. I'm from Hawaii. woohoo.

serguei 07-11-2004 07:03 AM

I use canon EOS 1Ds. This is very good camera... 12 megapix.. You cann look at my pictures on www.defloration.com Please choose the last year pics, in this case you can see canon EOS 1Ds quality..:thumbsup

Now I am with canon only - the best choise so far

The 10D is the best choice for porn and I'll tell you why. Canon makes the most accurate auto focus available. PROOF: all the best sports photographers use canon and most of the runway fashion photographers. DO NOT get a fixed lens camera. THey take excellent pictures, but they're too slow and ineffiecient. If you're paying a model big money you want to be able to take lots of pictures FAST! The more you fiddle with your camera, wait for the image to buffer etc....you're losing valuable working time. 8 megapixels would be nice, but it's more than you need right now. You can always shoot the 10 D in Raw mode and then capture the files in photoshop CS if you want a better image quality. Finally, getting a good canon lens is a good investment. Camera bodies change but lenses don't. I'm still using the canon L series lenses that I bought 10years ago...

Precisely. Don't be fooled by the megapixels. :)

I'm now using a Canon EOS 1D Mark II, although it is overkill for covering shows. This camera has the best balance between image quality and performance. However, this camera is expensive and is as heavy as a brick. The battery for this camera is bigger than many of the digital cameras.

You are so right , if a guy only shoots for the web then its a dick thing. Look at my big camera lol . That guy who shoots at all the web events , he has got the big expensive set up but when you look at the pics if he used a better pocket digital he would of gotten the same quality. What do you need 8 mp or EOS 1Dsor 10d or Nikon d70 for your not shooting for National Geographic its pussy lol As far as fast auto focus , I shoot girl girl journalist style they just go at it and I find the shot. Never had a problem with my old E-10 and the pictures are beautiful. The trick is not the camera its learning how to light correctly.

You don't get a digital SLR like the 1ds, the 1dII or even the 10d or d100 simply for the size of the pictures. The options, the flexibility and the control are all very important to most people who buy them.
Aside from that, many people seem to respond better to professional-looking cameras. When I take pics in public with my 10d with big lens, people tend not to get in the way of my pictures, and they always get out of the way quite quickly when I want them to. Try the same thing with a normal digital camera, and people pretty much ignore you.

I have a Sony Cybershot MP8. I can do anything I want to with it...I don't have a single complaint so far. Have had it for about 3 months now

Any camera that you can go full manual you have all the control of that camera its not special. Why are you shooting porn in public places? I am confused lol

As far as I know, most normal digital cameras tend not to give you full control, and do a lot of immediate processing when you make the picture. Apart from that, being able to change the lens can also make a somewhat noticeable difference :winkwink:

As for shooting porn in public places... I don't shoot porn.
