Is there is a reliable spyware program that...

runs 24-7 on a computer and catches shit as it happens????

Spybot Search & Destroy has a thing that runs in the background which checks the registry and blocks blacklisted websites.

Spysweeper does have a free download version. Unlike some other scumware removers that install scum, it does not... has always worked great for me.

W/ the trial version you don't get the updated dbs. This one of the few programs that I have paid for becaues I think it is that good.

I just got ahold of a copy of deepfreeze and am testing it out.
When you reboot any thing that has changed on your PC is undone. so far that even means e-mail you download.
this may be too far but it may have its place. Even a folder I made is gone when I reboot. I have 2 drives and it gives you an option
all or witch drive to freeze pretty cool so far. So if you save your mail to the unfrozen drive it will stay on your PC. I will let you all know how it goes.

adaware comes with something called adwatch you can stick in your startup group to load each time windows boots. It's a memory resident proggy that catches adware and other malicious activity before it gets installed.
