Can Life Get Any Better?
So, I live up in the mountains. My house is situated on 16 acres. No neighbors anywhere in site. It's VERY quiet up here.
My driveway is almost half a mile long. It winds up my property to the house. If someone happens to decide to visit uninvited I can hear them coming. Today I installed a wireless router. I have Direcway High Speed Satellite Access. This wireless router allows me to sit by the pool and surf the 'net on high speed. Since I'm in the middle of nowhere I can sit completely naked if I want. I hate clothes. Please tell me, does life get much better than this?? |
it must get boring after a while.:sleep
|
The only way it gets better is if you have tons of money and five wives
|
disregard last post.
I didn't fully read your post and thought you lived far away from civilization or something; but if you just have a big piece of property then I am bitterly jealouse:321GFY |
Satellite internet is far from High Speed isn't it? So...yes, it can get better.

Nothing like the freedom to be naked and have no one complain about it.:thumbsup

Yes, it does get better.
...you could be in Maui. |

Man, those were good times. |

I get speeds almost as good as my DSL line in my office downtown. |

You'll soon be seeing models posing naked here. Stick around. I post model photos frequently. |

Of course life can get better, I wont be a dick and say how though.
attitudes like this is what sets people up for tragedy. complacency is the #1 thing that leads to problems. |

I'm actually about 18.5 miles outside of town. |

Life can't get much better than this. It's so nice being up here. It does indeed make you want to stay home all the time, though. |

Christ, I once had a place exactly like that minus the wireless router. To think I gave it up for some fuckhead and am now in the shithole of a place they call Atlantic City. :feels-hot

BTW, I have seen your work?not very impress with your photography skills but the models are young and cute looking. |
something about wireless internet and the freedom to conduct business anywhere anytime that makes me feel damn good :)

And when the photography gets too good, my members complain. Seriously. When it stays "upper amateur" members stay. Weird, I know. |

Sounds niiiiiiiiiice.
I was eyeing some remote waterfront houses all afternoon today - I was out in the backwoods waterskiing on this perfect stretch of hidden river I discovered - mirror-like water no other boat traffic really, 82 degrees in the water, 25 feet from shore to shore... Maybe i'll join you in your euphoria soon! |

So a photographer can?t post some pics of his new home without a naked coed? |
Sounds good! I have tried several times to bring my laptop out to the pool area to bask in the sun while I get some work done...but for the life of me, no matter what I do (switch positions, put the umbrella up) I can't see the stupid screen. So much for that idea =(

Does it rain there?
Does it snow there? Yeah, it could be much better. I haven't seen snow in a dozen years and can't remember the last time it rained here. |

I love both of them. I love to have 4 seasons. The same thing over and over is fucking boring! |

I guess life could get a little better after all. :) |

Hmmm. Still trying to figure out what this has to do with anything I posted. Drawing a blank. |

Put up some pics of your place.

Life would be better if I didn't have to imagine Donny naked.
And I have Satellite in Tahoe, it's lame. Latency is a bitch, but the speed is fast. |
Quote:
Donny naked isn't a good thought. :) Do you have the 6000 series modem? I know you have DirecPC. The 6000 series does make a difference. It's still not perfect, of course, but is getting better. It's definitely not bad for those times I don't want to drive 30 minutes to the office to use DSL. |
watch out for the beasts at night.
all alone with no wondering who may swoop down on your ass. |

I think today?s physics means that there will always be a latency problem with a satellite Internet connection. What about land based wireless? Are you line of site to any providers? In the rural areas of Middle America, this is growing in popularity. Places where DSL and Cable are not available. |

The place is a little over 3,000 square feet, on 16 acres. It obviously has to have a well and septic out in the boonies. This place has two septics and two 2,500 gallon water storage tanks. It also has 1,000 gallons of propane storage. That's nice because it has one wood stove and one propane heating source. This first photo is of the living room, where I'm sitting right now as I type: http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0029.JPG The entry way... the two windows beside the door are nice to have open to allow a breeze to pass through the house: http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0032.JPG The kitchen area. My girlfriend HATES this wallpaper. I kinda like it because it reminds me of how my mom used to decorate. LOL. http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0041.JPG Part of the master bedroom. Off to the right leads to the master bath. http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0045.JPG |
This driveway is almost half a mile long:
http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0064.JPG And here's the other end of it: http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0069.JPG This is the "county" road from the highway winding 3 miles to the house. It's only single lane in some places, though traffic travels in two directions (what little traffic there is): http://www.donovanphillips.com/image...e/DSC_0072.JPG I'll get better, and more, photos later. |
Just 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, 3,000 square feet. But the 16 acres of privacy make up for it. It's so quiet up here!
