I hate content providers with registration forms

come on, when i wanna buy content, i dont want to subscribe first to see if you have the content i need. That sucks!

grumpy 07-10-2004 04:51 PM

so they should open it so every fucking server can browse it? Work for your stuf. Wanna buy or see content?? Register.

mcmc 07-10-2004 04:53 PM

usually they just have thumbs on their sites ... so no prob regarding freeloaders. I just dont want to register and see afterwards they dont have anything im looking for

grumpy 07-10-2004 04:54 PM

so your just lazy. :winkwink:

Agreed!

wyldblyss 07-10-2004 04:56 PM

I don't mind registering because they might not have what I need at the moment but down the road they might. Also, they usually email you if they have a sale or special offer, and you have to love those!

Nasty 07-10-2004 06:44 PM

Yea, I wont buy from a site that makes me register just to look at samples. Tried it a few times and now I get a fucking spam every time they add a few new sets.

sumphatpimp 07-10-2004 07:00 PM

I agree, the registration is just bullshit to get your email addy, then they spam you with crap you don't want anyway.

Vittorio 07-10-2004 07:12 PM

No registration here... over a half hour of video samples!!

Kevin2 07-10-2004 07:51 PM

Centerfoldbabes don't require registration either :thumbsup

amacontent 07-10-2004 08:17 PM

Hit me up, over 900 vids available

security_man 07-10-2004 09:51 PM

i agree, we never require registration at Pix-Mart

as a matter of fact if you do register we give you free content as a thank you for letting us tell you about specials :)

i think if you give folks something for their time then they are far more likely to do it than to demand them to

Registration has nothing to do with keeping out the surfers. It is all about getting your e-mail address so they can spam the fuck out of you.

hershie 07-10-2004 10:08 PM

www.adultcontentzone.com - No registration required.

Exactly 100% right. :thumbsup

And if you're a professional business man you will welcome those emails. If you're a kid playing at this you will not.

Professional Businessman
Gets emails sent to him about things they need to buy, looks at them considers them and decides to go take another look. It saves him time going around in the hope of finding what he needs, hoping it's new and not 2 years old. He also gets all the specail offers sent to him before they get spread accross the boards.

Others
Like to waste hours of time going to content site after content site playing a guessing game.

We recently opened our stores to anyone just showing the catalogue, with all the content and thumbs. We got an increase in sales of exactly 0000%, even those who said they would buy did not.

Seems the professionals buy and the rest just post on GFY. Where the sign up takes twice as long and the benefit is you can post about shit which will do little to help your business.

The store is still open because I'm going to be putting in paysite banners to re-direct the 1,000+ a day surfers we get.

Why not give the webmaster the opportunity to decide if they want mailings when they sign up to check out your content? If they like what they see then they will either boomark your site or request mailings.

Really now?

That's interesting.

Feel free to ask how many people have received spam from me since I put my registration requirements in place. Let's not lump all of the spamming content providers into the same group as those of us who don't abuse our lists.

My registration process is in place because I got tired of surfers requesting free shit. My rules specifically state that you must register with an adult related domain and I have about 500 ISP's and free email services blacklisted in the script.

Here's the funny part of it all....I don't even promote my content site or care about the sales from it in the first place.

Did you not read it? I said opening it up put no increase in sales at all.

The signing up process probably diverts a lot of those who are playing at the business.

We always supplied samples of what we sell, so people can see what we do. But the bottom line is we did not get the big increase in business that all these guys are promising, "I would buy from you if I did not have to sign up" is absolute BULL SHIT, they will sign up and buy based on price.

There you are 20 sets for $25, but you have to sign up.

Also we are in business to make money. If you saw the surge in business we get after a mail out you would understand why we want the emails addresses.

What I'm being asked to do is harm my business to make it easier for those who contribute little to it. Does that make sense to you?

Hit me up for a UN and PW...

Thanks!

Yes I will do that, if the guy has an email connected to his site.

You can see enough images on our site to get the "feel" without signing up.

When you sign up the only think you have to fill in is your name (real or fictitious) and a valid email to get a pass word.

is strange that the people who fill in all the rest of the information, address etc. are the one that actually buy !!

Well said.....It's the registration process that gets rid of idiots like mcmc. Maybe GFY should be more restrictive and keep out the same idiots, the ones that had a quick toss over a naked girls pic and thought they could spend two hours a week and call themselves a porn king....... leave it to the serious business people and concetrate on your day job at the 7/11.

This is one of the primary reasons we came up with ContentShopper.com - If you use the Advanced Search feature you can shop without registering

graphicsbytia 07-12-2004 08:08 PM

no registration necessary on Midnight Digital

http://www.midnightdigital.com

you may want to register though, we give away a free set of content to those who do, and also registered members are the first to hear of new content ;)
