I've seriously been considering this, too. I've always had hair down to my butt, as well. I cut it up to my shoulder blades a year or two ago and now it's almost the length of yours again.

It's so hot, sticky and humid in the South. I have to be outside for two hours, four or five evenings a week with some girls I work with, and it's miserable. I keep it pulled up to keep it off my back and neck. I just don't want to do it, and then hate it.

Think again, He wouldn't go near you (including but not limited to golf) with a 10 foot pole even if he was getting beaten by it. :glugglug

I don't know about cutting it but I'm sure it would look better after a trim.
