Selling on Ebay
 

hey guys, anyone know anyway around the rules on Ebay for not selling Adult Dvd's.. I put a movie up there just for shits and giggles because I am having trouble picking up a distributor because we only have 1 release so far. I sold a bunch real fast, then Ebay shut it down....

I thought you could sell them as long as you didnt show graphic images in the ad or use certain descriptions.

no dice.. I had a very softcore cover no nudity and a very soft description. I sold a bunch real fast and then got suspened.
There is "mature" section that you can post to but I got no sales from that section in a full day, I then moved it to the "general" section and sold a bunch in a few hours,

It's a bummer, the mature side is terrible, because no one knows about it and the main search does not bring up those items.

well you just answered your own question. you posted it in a forbidden section, no matter how soft the description a rose is a rose is a rose, and these ebay folk are like bloodhounds when it comes to covering their own ass.

This is what I thought too.. my husband does a lot of ebay buying/selling and we looked into this as well and they have VERY strict rules, but it can be done. You just have to follow their rules to the letter..... Rules on selling this are here

You beat me to it.. moving it to the general section is not wise at all. Those people take their ebay thing VERY seriously, trust me, I live with one of those people. lol

I have tried it in the Mature Audiences, and I just didnt get any sales...

you are right,the average buyer does not know about the mature section and that does not come up in the regular search..

mature section plain sucks at ebay. It is not presently a priority for them to promote so good luck making any moey there.

Ebay is ruining my life.....

I know I have a link somewhere to an adult auction site that was a pretty good one.... where you can sell stuff like this and not have to worry about it being buried... I am looking for it now. Not sure why it is in my bookmarks, but I am looking for it now.

Maybe a creative general listing with an ebay legal item to pull traffic, and in your item description a link at the top such as:

"Click here to view our mature listings" going to your adult dvd?

Have to check the rules.
