Or use Opera.

So much better...

flashfire 07-08-2004 04:08 PM

thanx, firefox rules

TurboTrucker 07-08-2004 04:12 PM

It's still not great. I like Opera better than Firefox, and except for the lack of features IE better than all others.

Firefox and opera both don't properly display webpages, opera's password manager isn't that great, and Firefox should be renamed Firesnail.

Depends what you're comparing them against as "proper"... RFC, or IE. :2 cents:

Here's an example - a simple color border. Open this in all 3 browsers and you see 3 different things.

IE and Opera show the same thing.

Shure you use Opera 7.52 ?

TurboTrucker 07-08-2004 04:24 PM

7.51 - I just downloaded it a week ago

if you wrote valid html you may get better results.

yea but if one browser can display the sites correctly then the others should make their browsers work right. I hate all the exploits in IE but damn it's hard to surf a good portion of sites out there using any browser than IE. I will admit it's getting better but they still have a long way to go..

I tried to switch to firefox, but for one it's slower. Then a simple thing like the "scan now" button in comus thumbs dosen't work for me when using Firefox.

uhm you mean most people dont code wc3 compliant pages. It's not the browsers fault that everyone codes to make IE used happy only by writing sloppy code.
