Apart from "civilised societies", most countries don't have specific laws re porn, but may have "sexual offence" acts where the production of porn within that country is illegal.

I doubt ya got much problem webmastering in Belize :winkwink:

Only joking??? Thats actually great news then.. I;ve checked out all belize websites - spent last 4 days researching on the net - only learnt a lot about US porn laws and Belize islands

Other than that, Belize has no laws.

Just kidding. Actually I believe that prostitution is legal in belize, and it's one of the few countries where online casinos can operate legally.

Na... "pornography" as we know it, is not illegal in Belize. There are a number of webmasters operating there no problems.

There are laws - obvious stuff - re child porn and child offences, but I sure hope this is not an area that is of relevance :-) This is the area that has created a stink and concern and is actively being prosecuted. Seems gringo assholes reckon they can ship out of the US and commit offences against children elsewhere. There is an extradiction treaty with the US on child offenses.

Otherwise, the attitude generally is laid back and adult webmastering is not a problem.

This may sound weird :winkwink: but also have a look at Nicaragua!

Forget the connotations of "wars" and "uprisings" there - it is no longer like that. The "rush" has already started to Nicaragua and land is being bought up (often still at a good price), and folks with funds and sense are moving in :-)

The Nico govt announced this week that, as part of new projects re tourism that there is a relaxation of residency laws to allow anyone who can say the have $400/month *g* to have residency. There is an office opening within the next month or so to help anyone who wants residency and "put a human face on immigration".

Nicaragua as a country has excellent comms, decent roads, and property is still cheap, but destined to rise fairly quickly.

There are no laws that would be a problem to adult webmasters and the general background re sexual matters is laid back - stuff like prostitution is fine, but no "pimping" :-)

I got a friend there who runs Credomatic in that region - he has a house load of staff.. think about 9 and it costs around $1000/month to pay em all - ie.. the cost of living is *really* cheap! :winkwink: In fact, Nicaragua cost of living is about 25% of that of Costa Rica.

Also... there are *never* any problems (apart from serious crime!) that a $20 bill cannot solve :winkwink:
