Clearly, this is a bullshit trial to take attention off off the Edwards announcement. December 24, 2004, right when Bush is about to pack up his shit from the oval office, he'll pardon Lay. Just like daddy did for Weinberger the war criminal after Clinton showed him the door. One term scumbags, like father like son.

No respectable Democrat would ever issue a bunch of pardons, as one of their final acts ... Now would they?

with all the BS the republicans put Clinton through his 8 years and he still did a damn good job. I'd say I can give Clinton an inch or two on his last minute pardons. Bush on the other hand has done a shit job, both of the Bush's couldn't equal one good president.
