I survived my trip to Banff and back

After roughly 21 hours of driving, I am back. I actually slept in Kelowna for a while, so it was actually 17 hours and then 4 hours.

Anyway, I am not dead (yet) and am ready to sleep for at least a week.

I took lots of pics, but have no time to prepare them and make galleries and stuff, but here's a taste.

I took these 2 for quiet, as it was his recommendation that I must stop in at Lake Louise :thumbsup

Lake Louise is beautiful. If you haven't been before it's always worth a stop.

I've been up in the Banff area and visited Lake Louise and did a lot of hiking up there.

Most beautiful place I've ever hiked!

I didn't actually. I felt bad, but I was pressed for time.

I actually showed up rather late to pick her up, because I stopped to help some folks who ran into a bit of a problem. I helped out as best I could, and then took a bunch of pictures so that they can have some memories of this (I exchanged email addresses with them)... despite them not being the best memories.

This will give you an idea of how their day was going.

Thanx for the offer, but our pizza just showed up actually. We're going to settle in for a relaxing movie, a long sleep and then I begin giving her the grand tour tomorrow. :winkwink:

Did you take the gondola up the mountain at Lake Louise? When you get up there the lake reflects the sky and mountains like a mirror. Fantastic shots from up there.

It's been too long since I've seen the mountains. I have to take a trip back out west soon, I think. :thumbsup

Hahaha.. you're too funny. Yeah, it's 7am and she's sitting over on the couch thinking of ways to change my apartment.

Rick, no gondola for me... although I really wanted to. But when I got there, I was already well into my 12th hour of driving with another 9 or 10 hours to go, so I just wanted to get home.

I'll definitely take more time to do it right though soon. Perhaps when jact comes out to visit. :glugglug

Ahhhhhhhhhhh Lake Louise my home for 5 years, ski bum (averaged 100 ski days a year) bartender and played in a band...crazy crazy!!

I had a tourist from a Country just south of us ask me if they paint the bottom of the Lake bed to make it that nice color!! I was also asked what time of year they released all the Elk and Bears for the tourists.

jhauser 07-08-2004 08:43 AM

Those pics are amazing. How jealous am I well not of the trailor incident but the rest looks so peaceful.
