There are a lot of Islamic jihadists in the Philipines. Better be careful or a group of them might abduct you, cut your head off while you are begging for your life, and then post it live on the internet for the world to see.

Should that happen, your good friends at GFY will make it a point to ensure that the video is posted free on CJ. We might even get someone to write some insensitive, assinine, smart ass remarks about it as an introduction.

I can only hope you do. In reality, Manilla is very Christian. It isn't nearly as bad as Indonesia.

The 50 troops the news mentioned are those involved in engineering works alone. There are about 500 military personnel in iraq acting as peacekeepers. The Philippines didn't gave in to the demands of those extremists, the government just stopped sending MORE troops since the 3rd wave of troops are about to be deployed this weekend. The remaining troops in iraq will stay.

AND what's so funny with having just 50 troops? atleast.. the Philippines though small made a stand. :2 cents:

Rick,

Don't know what stage you are in the startup of your call center, but feel free to contact me if I can be of help.

My partners and I have been over here for almost 4 years. Have a great location available for a call center.

Good luck!

Why would they go to iraq???

Insurgents attack base, killing 5 GIs, Iraqi guard

The Philippines, with only 51 troops in Iraq, make up a tiny fraction of the multinational force. But the more than 4,000 Filipino civilians work as contractors for the U.S. military, serving food, cleaning toilets and forming the backbone of the support staff for U.S. troops.

Actually, the Philippines foreign minister went out of his way yesterday to say that they are withdrawing as soon as possible to save the hostage.
