Lensman/Eric, I'm going to disable flash soon if nothing is changed about the 'speaking banners', especially those that don't stop on mouseout. (The best example is NaughtyAlly's). It's extremely annoying. I'm also not the only one to do this.

Just after having hit the submit button I accidentally hovered over another banner, and yes, guess what...

I always have something playing when I'm working or even browsing. I find it very offensive that these companies have the balls to annoy potential future biz partners in this manner.

The naughtybank banner is by far one of the most annoying things ever to be placed on this board. Lens allowed a second one that is twice as annoying - so that in itself speaks a lot about this board and naughtybank.

Bottom Line: we are all adult webmasters here, why the fuck do we care if some dirty little skank is moaning or cumming? This is not helping our pockets grow nor is it attractive postive business.

This is my :2 cents: - I would love to hear what naughtybank has to say on this issue.

I'll be more than happy to send a few bucks their way so that the promo team can retake business class and learn proper marketing ethics and targeting.

well said. Well I don't really want to bother with the idiots who say bad attention is attention as well, because it's not. Yet this: The sound in the banner makes me avoid it in any way. And no, I don't make the connection between that name in my mind and promoting a site.

I usually have my sounds off too. I was an admin of NBCi's chatrooms and all those n00bs did was play wav files...thought I would go out of my mind...so I turned off sounds..since then I find any sound annoying.

maybe it's a good idea for me too, I think sound works contraproductive for me

I think the original comment had a good point. The sound should die on mouseout. Simple. Like the telephone ringing one. And the Click Me Now one.

I agree, the sound banners suck. I'm always trying to get the mouse off of them as fast as possbile, damn sure not clicking ay of them so they can make more noise while I'm doing it.

I already made a poll about this banner, about 90% is annoyed like hell by this banner. The other 10% are probably surfers. But then what does Naughty Ally do?

I never even look at or click banners with sound I accidently mouse over.

1. It pisses me off when it over rides my music.

2. I think it is fucking anoying.

3. Because it pisses me off I refuse to click even if i should happen to look at the banner.

4. Did I mention it pisses me off.

Now I have been known to click on catchy banners without sound.

A program could be offering something really kick ass but if I catch it because of some fucking sound blasting through my speakers/headphones I will move on. After all there is always someone else offering the same thing and not crashing in on my speakers/headphones to get my attention.

Plus most of the sounds on those banners are really fucking lame and... oh, did I mention they only piss me off.
