opera is definately the fastest browser yet. I'm actualy surprised that mozilla did as well as it did. It tends to be one slow mutherfucker starting up for me. That first start is killer. Go get a cup of cofee while it loads.

Tested the 4 I use:

Opera 7.23 - 8.842 seconds
Internet Explorer 6.0.2800 - 23.84 seconds
Navigator 7.0 - 28.391 seconds
Firefox 0.9.1 - 28.48 seconds

MyIE - best browser! NetCaptor - too quite good. Personally my opinion. Opera - so-so, it is not pleasant to me...

Firefox - 61.06
Netscape - 57.5
IE - 51.16
Opera - 29.48

The free version just has a little adbar at the top of the screen. I'ts pretty subtle (just shows google ads), so I haven't even bothered buying it yet even after a few months.

i don't get it - i did the test with IE6 - 48 seconds. i see results of 7 seconds - it doesn't seem possible to be able to run all those tests in 7 seconds.

Well for me it is...Don't forget it also depends on your ISP speed.. I have an 8MBPS down 1MBPS upstream connection

This test isn't even close to simulating normal browsing condtions... Just because some selected hahahahahahahahahaha operations are faster on certain browsers than others, doesn't really mean much...
