Bandwidth to Customer to Disc Space Ratio
 

Is there such a thing??? What are some numbers,
-How many monthly customers
-How much space do you use
-How much do you transfer each month

(How much disc space and transfer should I expect to use in my first 6 months?)

Also, better to purchase own servers now or use someone elses,...suggestions / experience. Thanx:question

I think he's asking how much diskspace to offer with x amount of bandwidth to hosting customers.

From my hosting experience.. try and keep the diskspace low-ish. Customers will upgrade plans for more diskspace when they don't even need anymore bandwidth. ;)

Sorry, I'm almost awake. I am starting / ready to launch a paysite. I will do video / pics, I have 100% original footage, (appx. 5 yrs worth) of excellent quality amature action. (GGW has offered to buy all of my footage for major $$$). My web designer want's $3500 for complete site, (auto upload, artwork, batch files, previews, scheduling, the works) He says a good server with fast processor and mirrored 120GB should run about $1000 assembled and Renting space/bandwidth is about $200/mo. Any suggestions, Should I buy my own server and rent space from his company, (they are highly reputable, local, and servers are accessable to us) or just rent space/bandwidth from somewhere else.)
