18000 airmiles for round trip for 2, Vancouver to Tokyo
 

the cheapest flight i can find is $4500 for 2 people, round trip. i have no idea how to value airmiles, but it seems like this might be a time where i should buy the tickets vs using airmiles (18K seems like an awful lot). does anyone know the value of airmiles vs actual ticket prices (roughly)?

Do you guys have a japanese area in the city? Go there and check out one of the small travel agencies. It helps if u got a friend that speaks japanese, youi'll find a much better deal this way.
