I am looking for any postitve feedback on how to start advertising an amatur paysite. And what is a good visitor rate per day that I should shoot for to start out?

You should start with the 1 visitor a day goal.

In 2010 you should have 2-3 a day.

You will never get any help here to that question, even if someone want to help "you" they won't post it here for 100's of other newbies to see.
Answers that you can get on GFY is on questions like...do you like to eat fish?

It depends on what kinda site you want to start. If you want to advertise an amateur paysite through a tgp gallery, then 2000+ should get you a sale.
If you can manage to make good galleries and not cheat, then you can end up getting partner accounts. :)

Haven't had any experience with free sites, so I have no advice for you on that matter ;)

If you will be prominantly advertising that amateur paysite on a TGP, then you could probobly be pulling in a sale or 2 a day if you know how to market right.

Don't be discouraged by the big cocks.. *cough* Juicy :1orglaugh , You will be hard-pressed to find big players in this industry just handing out a lot of information. Most of them worked hard to get to where they are today, so it makes no sense to throw all that work down the drain to watch some fresh newbie, 10 days in the game, growing up to become one of his or hers big competition ;)
