How much of legitimate email correspondence gets LOST because of spam filters?

I would say about 10%, and in this industry even 20-25%

my server filters put it into the trash folder, and netscape puts some in the junk folder.

I look them over and delete them

I'd say less than 5%... but even 1 single email, is one to many...

If I ever got my hands on a person who soamed me.. I dont know what I would do, but it wouldn't be pretty - that's for sure!

People doing SPAM is the lowest mofo's around :BangBang:

almost every email i send to someone with biz correspondence ends in trash...and some people are too stupid or too lazy too look up that, so i imagine a part of my emails get simply lost :ak47:

It's very rare that I dont get a business related e-mail. I would say I get 99%, but even that might be too low.

more then 70% is spam what I get

This was exactly my biggest concern when I started using spamarrest a couple of months ago. Even though I went through all the filtered out emails the first month to authorize all newsletters etc. and still do it about once a week, I am still probably going to miss one once in a while. Also not everyone who sends me an email for the first time, follow the instructions they receive on how to authorize their email address :(

But it was just crazy how much time I spent deleting spam at last, so I had to do something.

But still every email lost is one too many. :ak47: spammers

I go through my spam folder once a week to see if I have anything in there that shouldn't be.. it's not a huge deal, and a lot less annoying then having the spam in my main folder.

None if you use postini, it quarantines them on their web interface so you can look at them at your leisure.
