pulled my first late night work session in a month - who's still up?
i've had visitors up here almost completely solid for 5 weeks - finally the last of them left today, so no one left to entertain for a week.
i'm about to feast on some sushi, and then pour myself something to drink. who's up, and what might your poison be? cheers :glugglug |
Coffee. But cheers anyway. :glugglug
|
just took a nice PM bout to hit the sack
hate not being able to sleep without PM's |
9:30am here so only coffee at the moment :glugglug
|
I am still awake, for some reason i cannot sleep, i have done enough sleeping previous days while i was ill. So I am here with you.
|
hmm is the sushi fresh?
I been sleeping at some odd hours lately so I am still up |
Still up - finished fixing the 3rd computer today....i'll call it a night in a few. Just water here....damn it's hot!!
|
PM?
I am drinking sake. White sake, sweet and unfiltered. Good stuff. |
Been working my butt off for the past 10 months.. Not a fucking single night ends before 3am.. But I sure as hell hope it'll be worth it at the end. As for being 'still up', I had to cave last night at 5am and I've been up since 8:30 this morning.. fun.
Well, I'll soon become an alcoholic or kill myself anyways, so it doesn't matter much :) |
1/2 lb burritos from del taco and pepsi.
about to pull a nearly all-nighter re-working some personal sites. |
Im up:D

Up latenight as usual & have a little buzz going from a few pints of fat tire ale.
That sushi looks really good right about now :) |
How for is Whistler (or wherever you are now) from Tornoto? I've heard from a few sources now that Toronto has some world-class dining.
I'm such a picky eater I'd probably move there just for the variety. |

Should be fun, I leave within the hour... gotta go there, pick up a friend and come back. That'll give me roughly 20 hours or so of driving within the next 24 hours :( |

That looks extemely delicious ... Mmm |

but why don't you two stay for a night in Banff? their is so much to do (if you hike or boat or anything) - plus it will break up the drive. will you at least stay for dinner or lunch or something? |

She's never been out of Ontario much, so I want to show her the west coast... but I don't want her to miss the mountains in a plane. So this is the best alternative. But at the same time, I don't want to lose to much time out here... so having her already be there with a friend of hers in Calgary is the best way to go. |

the bottom rolls are dungeness crab, shrimp, and cucumber also wrapped in egg crepe. :glugglug |

you should stop in Lake Louise if you have any time :) |

I'm not really looking forward to this much driving to be honest... but I really want her to have a great time and see as much as possible. A friend's gotta put things like sleep aside and show you the world. We definitely have to pass through Lake Louise one way or another. I heard that's a choice place for photos so I am sure we'll be making a pit stop. The drive back I think will take a really long time, as I'm sure she'll want to make stops at just about every rest area and photo op :) |

Lower End (but very, very good): Guido's - if you love italian, this is a killer authentic Italian place you'll love. not fancy, but amazing food. Milessa's Mistake - lobster tail. if you like lobster, this is one of the best places in Banff. Coyote's - southwestern spicy food. good stuff. Higher End: Maple Leaf - great lobster, great steak. Salt Lick - steak and seafood Eden (at the Rimrock Hotel) - probably the best (and most expensive) place to eat in Banff. Hopefully you haven't left yet lol |
and definitely stop in Lake Louise. it's seriously awesome.

I think it'll definitely have to be one of these choices then :winkwink: |
there is also the Banff Springs, with several absolutely amazing places to eat - but it is also a very drawn out affair (much like the Rimrock), that probably wouldn't work out with that kind of drive.

the only thing i'm worried about it the times (not sure when they start serving full menus). like i said, the Banff Springs also has great places to eat (for example the banffshire club), but again i'm not sure about the times. Maple Leaf definitely has a good menu during the afternoon, if that's when you think you'll be arriving. at the Chauteau Lake Louise (which is where you want to be in order to check out the beautiful lake - one of the top rated beautiful spots in the entire world) you can have lunch in the lounge, but the menu is rather small (though still very good). I don't think their main two restaurants open until later in the day. |
