Question for vegetarians who own pets
 

Do you make your pets eat only veggies?

"Pet"? Do you realize how many animals fall under that category.

If it has eyes on the side of it's head then yes
if it has eyes facing front on the head no.

If you want to fuck with yourself then you have that right, the animal has rights to.
Don't fuck with mother nature. Cats and dogs although domesticated are still predators
and they need and eat meat.

On an episode of that 'Animal Cops' show they showed a vegan bitch who would only feed her animals rice and veggie crap. The animals were starving, malnutritioned, and on the verge of death. (despite full bowls) :(

The animals were taken away from her and fed properly. :thumbsup

I think the same happens with people who are vegetarians.

We feed our animals normal dog and cat food.

Humans can handle a vegetarian diet but dogs and cats can't. It would be cruel to attempt to make them vegetarian. IMO

I am a vegetarian but I dont have a pet.
If I did I guess it would depend on the animal and what he can and can not eat...

My iguana is on an all veggie diet :)

Meat eating animals to best on a BARF diet. That is bones and raw food. In reality, a wild dog or cat would not eat veggies except for some grasses as a way of helping digestion.

Our minpin was allergic to dog food and had to be on a barf diet and was the healthiest dog I've ever seen!
