if a trading system is being sold, chances are its crap.

Good point but does that count all of the books on the subject?

well, think about it -> if the system really worked would you want to mess with writing a book, creating a website or what not?

Many claim that they are just trying to help others out... if they actually are? then why are they selling it?

Yea, but then why are they selling a membership to a site? or charging $29.99 for some book?

You have to be kidding me. Only an idiot would share a system that worked with people he doesn't know on the internet.

.. and idiots don't have great moneymaking systems. :)

strobi 07-04-2004 09:24 AM

I'm a stock investor, not a trader. I don't rely on those "systems" or "hot tips". Traders will lose all their money anyway in the long term. Or just follow the market if they're lucky.

Writing books most of the time make people richer than investing. Look at the "rich dad poor dad" crap. This guy is selling millions of copies.

Hey you have to start somewhere. Those books are a nice starter for sure. They are quite motivational.

His books aren't too bad, but I wouldn't pay for them though...

How do you know which way currencies will swing on a given day?

depends on the book

books like those written by benjamin graham are the best. the individual still needs some skill to use what they've learned from the book to be successful.

actually traders with skill are some of the highest paid people on wall street. most amateur day traders tend to go broke once a bear market begins

actually of graham's pupils, buffet is the only one to be so open about his investment philosophy.

most just keep investing quite successfully

spankstrocko 07-04-2004 01:01 PM

Another point about sharing is that it can sometimes benefit the trader. If he has influence over a large circle of people it can help his position.
