Place to stay in Austria and traveling tips
 

Going to austira for 10 days on agust 15th and I can't decide where to stay and whats the best way to get around...

I was planning to stay in Vienna for 4 days then go to lakes in Carthnia and then go to Salzburg to see ice caves and then back to Vienna

Can you suggest some good hotels...
Also do u have any tips for austira that might be usefull for a turist...

best way to get around, by car. or plane, if you have money to waste and only want to hop from Vienna to Klagenfurt (Carinthia) and Salzburg.

trains are pretty useless in general, since they are fucking expensive and Carinthia doesn't have the best rail connection.

for hotels worldwide, i personally prefer http://www.hrs.de/
it's a Germany based service, choose you language in the left frame. i haven't booked a hotel without that servicein at least 3 years. they rock. :thumbsup

and finally be prepared for shitty weather.
