If you do a search, there are more GFY threads on this subject where right wingers deny that the army set up the toppling of the statue. It was just a "conspiracy theory" according to GFY right wingers.

Nice try...but my post is not a comment about the subject...but is a comment about Webby. What other people deny or believe has very little to do with me...and I repeat it was/is nothing more than symbolism be it inspired by US forces or Iraqi's and is of little import. You are reeeeeaching.

Yep the big bad Americans took their loving caring leader away and the Iraqi people were very upset that the statue was removed. They liked the statue and the reminder that their family members where thrown off building blind folded, and their ears and tongues were cut off brutally, and their feet were tied in the air the bottoms beaten with steal pipes. I could on and on with the kind things their leader did for them.
So the truth is out. America made it all up. Saddam was a great leader and all the Iraqi people who were cheering in the streets where paid to dance around the falling statue.

Of course America was there, how the fuck do you think they got it down??? They wanted it down, we did it. If you watch the video as the American tanks pulled up to the crowd that was already gathered there, you will see several Iraqis taking sledge hammers and other instruments and hacking away at the statue, trying to take it down themselves!!

I mean for example if it's an oil thing... if the US was going to run out of oil and we had to to a regime change on Iraqi and neighboring countries because they were getting too uppity and were threatening our future oil purchase availability from them or something... then fucking TELL US THAT, and then we as a nation should weigh the pro's and con's of that.
