Yo via ssh i wanted to chmod 777 a dir and evrything in it
chmod -R 777 juicy <---- is that it? |

Depends. If ya have to ask, then you should be using a program like CuteFTP, then just right click on the file and select CHMOD.
If you use plesk, use your file manager. Otherwise: http://catcode.com/teachmod/ |
I use a sftp. It works like a FTP but has the power of a unix terminal.

Goodluck Juicy! Sometimes changing file perrmissions can screw things up. I know, cause I've screwed things!

yep chmod -R 777 dir/ will do everything -R flag is for all
as long as you have root you can fix things in the end :p |
