F/911 theatre audience
I just got back from the theatre, and most of the people there were elderly. One old couple even brought a guide dog with them. Since this demographic actually goes to the polls on election day, it sure seems like a pretty bad omen for Bush. If you saw it at the cinema (instead of downloading it) what sort of crowd was there?
(btw, I live in a college town, not a retirement community; ... I've never seen anything like this at any other film) |

I was surprised at the type of crowd in attendance. I wondered if it was the same elsewhere. I expected to be surrounded by disenfranchised hippy types; not mobs of old people, who are typically socially conservative. Hippys march and chant. Old people vote. |

Now, it is sad to see that in a " college town", those that are subject to be drafted to go to war ( there will be more than Iraq if Bush is back in the WH ) have no interest in seeing both sides of the coin. Too bad for America.... |
In Vegas it was an eclectic mix. But everyone was there to laugh and jeer at Bush and applaud loudly at the end of the movie.

Assuming that you went sometime during the day today... I'm not surprised at all. Find 5 regular people between 18-24 with jobs that give a flying fuck about politics. It's pretty hard. Besides, it was during the day on a work day, people were working, and other than a few kids outside of school (who if they had the money would be working while you were there), they would have probably just shown up to make out in the back.
What else was the blind lady going to see with a guiding dog? Spiderman-2 for the special effects? Day after Tomorrow? :) |
Tony404 and I went one day during the work week to the 1:15pm show. There were probably about 50-75 people in the audience ranging in age from 20-50 I'd say.
And yes, at the end of the movie everyone was clapping. |
I went and saw it in Houston and everyone clapped at the end as well. :thumbsup

I went on opening night here, and the crowd was mostly 20-30 yr olds. Of course it was opening night..so only people that were waiting for it were going to see it...and everyone applauded at the end.
:winkwink: |
I went to a showing tonight at 7:30 at it was filled with old people, it was playing at a big theatre downtime and a lot of people were there........ great movie
4-5 times the audience applauded during the movie bush will be owned in this election |
That's funny. I was suprised at the age of the audience, too. (I saw it opening night and again last night.) Older than I expected.
