60% of 'Fahrenheit 9/11' profit goes directly to charity

Despite their personal investment, the Weinstein brothers will not be the biggest financial beneficiaries of "Fahrenheit." The real winner: a charity, or charities, as yet unnamed, that will receive about 60 percent of the net profit ultimately generated by the film -- a tally that could be tens of millions of dollars.

How much of the profit from Fox or Rush Limbaugh's show go to charity? Probably none.

Michael Moore just keeps making the right wingers look stupid. :1orglaugh

This really doesnt mean jack shit to me.

It still comes down to Moore making millions off of a low-budget film that couldnt have happened without the deaths of thousands. :2 cents:

60% of the profits go to charity. Are you less angry with Moore than the right wing media whores making money on this who aren't donating to charity?

What do you think about the Bush family as well as Cheney himself making millions off of the deaths through no-bid contracts in Iraq?

What about Fox, Clear Channel, Rush, Dennis Miller, Anne Coulter and all of the others making money off of it?

What about all of the soldiers in the U.S. military getting paid extra for being in Iraq. Aren't they also making money on the deaths at the WTC?

Is your anger at everyone or just Michael Moore?

Please don't ask the cynics to be fair and impartial about this. That's like asking a dog to fly.

If you do a little research you will find Rush has done more for charities than moore will ever do.

As usual don't let the facts get in the way of your rants.

I am too lazy to research how much of his money (what % has he actually given vs. fundraising). If I had to guess, I would say he donates less than 1% of his income in any year to charity. I suspect what you mean by doing a lot for charity is that he has said to other people to donate to these good causes.

Sounds like a nice gesture.. and since I am sure it didn't cost much to make, they can afford to do it.
