If you still not using it, it's time to install it and save your time everyday.

its time for you to bitch with your program more and make comercial version of it. Stats remote still doesnt have any competition.
ok, bump for you

I was one of the first to try stattool and its great.beats paying $50 month for statsremote.thats for sure.
Now if you could just get it to play some music when I make a sale that would be great.

I liked it but it always expired at the wrong time. And waiting for an update just to keep the program functioning is kinda lame. :2 cents:

Nysus 07-02-2004 02:53 PM

Not to disrespect you PeeFee but has anyone checked this program for spyware, etc?

Cheers,
Matt

PeeFee 07-02-2004 02:55 PM

Has anyone made a Ibill plug-in for StatTool?

Pornweaver 09-06-2004 01:08 PM

That's right... Input all of your sensitive login data into a 3rd party stats program so they can silently collect your login and payout information. Very smart. :1orglaugh

Basic_man 09-06-2004 01:13 PM

Good luck with it !

TheWildcard 09-06-2004 01:15 PM

sounds good

johndoebob 09-06-2004 01:18 PM

Sounds good and I'd buy a stats program for a one time fee for sure but you have to build up some trust because these are very sensitive informations.

Dcat 09-06-2004 01:18 PM

Wrong.

StatTool

From the front page:

"Very simple to set up and run, all sponsor login/passwords are stored in a .txt file on your machine, not on someone elses machine like some other programs you may have heard about."

I'm not saying that this happens with StatsTool, what I'm saying is the POSSIBILITY exists. Even WITH what the website says, here's a scenerio:

Install Program > Input Logins > Program sends silent data to an online database > Program stores login info in a .txt file.

Just because they tell you it is stored locally does not mean it can't be transmitted to another location ALSO.

I just don't think it's very smart to be putting your login info ANYWHERE but in your own head.

That doesn't prevent somebody from including a feature that secretly transmits all the passes, even if they're in a txt file on your comp.

Give the guy a break... of course it's possible, but he is saying that he can also provide the source code for the program (look above)

So if you're skeptical you can try to bug him for the source, look to see that there's nothing fishy, and run it through your own perl interpreter
