which is the better browser nowadays?

I use Netscape.. but give me a compelling reason why i should switch.

Not sure about netscape nowadays but firefox is WAY faster than IE

just don't know why surfers still use IE that fact that its vulnerable to any attacks

Firefox should be faster than Netscape because firefox is a pure browser where as Netscape is an all in one wonder. ( I think )

Mozilla has more features. Basically bloat you don't need. I use Firefox.

Mozilla is open source. Firefox uses the mozilla code, but it is different.

Netscape is just Mozilla with some features turned off and some absolute crap added ontop..

Mozzila present firefox as an advanced version of netscape ...

It has more plug ins and customisability.

I've only used Mozilla a little bit lately, but I've grown quite fond of Opera over the past few months.

they still use it because it comes by default with windows... and it is hard to change the mind of millions of windows users over the world...

guess not all surfers know the disadvantages of using IE nowadays and complain about problems in their machines. only once Microsoft releases SP2 it will correct the major loopholes on their brower, but sorry, i guess we have to wait for a little more.

bout time to swtich to a much better alternative. :thumbsup

just installed Firefoxv.0.9.1 and interface looks really cool, but compared to Netscape 7.1, which I have been using for a couple of months now has far more features particularly when you carefully compare each other.

Uhmm..... all 3 are the same browser.

Netscape is an older version of Mozilla, with a ton of favorites and custom set stuff and ad ware, all thrown in by AOL.

Firefox is a more advanced version of the latest Mozilla, with extra plugins and features.

Mozilla is... well, Mozilla. The core essential to both of the other browsers with none of the extras of either.

Firefox and Netscape is not a good comparison.

Firefox and Mozilla is a good straight up comparison.

Firefox is JUST a browser.. Mozilla is the browser, email, newsgroups, chat, etc.. like Netscape.

Opera 7.5.1 is the best browser around in my opinion. Not saying the others aren't great, but its got features the others don't and is way faster and provides stronger surfing productivity.
