What to barbecue this weekend?

Need to head to the store today and find some goodies to barbecue. I was thinking corn on the cob and chicken but I always do that, any different or unusual suggestions?

I want something new!

get some nice ribs. I had a rack last night and it was pretty yummy.

Pork chops marinated in honey thinned out with soy sauce.

Theres an episode of Good Eats where the guy makes White Castle style hamburgers. Those things are damn good, and I fucking hate White Castle.

Strife 07-02-2004 12:07 PM

Can't beat baby back ribs :thumbsup

Hank_Heartland 07-02-2004 12:08 PM

Sly,

Turkey on the grill is always a winner:thumbsup

Kabobs... you can never go wrong w/ kabobs.

So many different combos to try too... you can do something like ...chicken, pineapple, onions, shrimp, tomatoes.

... or beef/venison, peppers, potatoes, onions, mushrooms

... or pork, tomatoes, shrimp, yellow and orange peppers

THEN - you can even do a fruit type kabob for dessert...
like bananas, marshmallows, melons, etc. (can even marinate the melons in flavored rum for a while)... chill, sprinkle w/ coconut, and serve

Cheers!

Well...it will not be this weekend but will be sometime during the week...but I will be Bar-B-Q'ing Sturgeon...so if you can find some Sturgeon at the market...you may want to give it a try.

Big Cheese 07-02-2004 05:08 PM

Shish Kabobs for sure :thumbsup

I was gonna say Carne Asada, but that just doesn't seem right this weekend. :glugglug

MandyBlake 07-02-2004 07:03 PM

Get yourself some nice, 2" thick ribeyes.
That's what we would get if we were grilling this weekend.

We grill everything, nearly every time we cook at home.

Steaks, burgers, fajitas, salmon, lamb, veggies, different kinds of sausages, ribs, you name it.

I'd suggest going to somewhere like http://epicurious.com to get some ideas.

frankthetank 07-02-2004 09:18 PM

Ribs are always an awesome choice!
