It's official: I'm a bonified hog-fat (pic)

... okay I lied about the pic.

But it's official. The last trip to McDeath's drive-thru (I go about twice a year for a pigout) (if that) cost me just over $20.

TWENTY BUCKS.

I always said.... if the day ever comes that I have to spend over $20 bucks at Mickey D's to get full, I'll be an official hog-fat.*

I ordered:

1- Quarter pounder w chees meal (upsized)
1- chicken ceasar salad
1- box of twenty mcnuggets

Came to just over $20. And yes, I ate it all.

*Back when I was 18 I used to buy one each of the large sandwiches (4 in total), a giant sized coke and two cherry pies and it came to like $8 and change.

My camera sprouted legs and has run and hid on me.

It must know the answer to that.

=^..^= 07-02-2004 01:53 AM

holy shit it costs THAT much for such a small amount of Food???

Malaccas must be really expensive in the Us :eek7

V_RocKs 07-02-2004 01:53 AM

That is a shitload of food bro. I had a buddy at my past job who did the same shit. Everytime he ate it was like $15 to $20 and I would just sit there in amazement as he put it all down and then started asking me if I was going to finish this or that.

fr8 07-02-2004 01:53 AM

$20?!?!? at mcdonalds. Fuck thats alot of food. I like to think I eat alot but damn. 6 bucks at mcdonalds on the dollar menu and im extremely full.

CDSmith 07-02-2004 01:58 AM

Well I'm not a small guy. A single combo meal just doesn't do it for me. Hasn't since I was 7. (Right about the time I started playing hockey actually)

Even when moderately hungry I can put away two quarter cheese, x-large fries, x-large drink and a pie. That's like $12-$14 bucks right there.

=^..^= 07-02-2004 02:00 AM

DUH KITTY!
I just remembered you're in Canada so you're talking CA dollars right?
Ok so it's not that expensive then :stoned

I could maybe buy that much McGrub in the US for around $14 or so.

The Bootyologist 07-02-2004 10:39 AM

Dr. Booty thinks you will have the McDonald's bug later tonight

But it won't be bad like the Krystal bug or the Taco Bell bug

Start chugging large quantities of water now

CDSmith 07-02-2004 10:41 AM

Naw, I'm good til the fall probably. I don'g get the McDeath hankerin all that much anymore. I just wanted to try that chicken ceasar salad, hadn't had one there before.... it was pretty good actually.

TheWildcard 07-02-2004 10:41 AM

I used to spend 20 euros a day on McDonalds for a few months. :1orglaugh

Spunky 07-02-2004 10:43 AM

Damn...20 bucks...I think they ripped you off...I usally get a couple burgers, fries and shake and it's like 10 bucks .

Zoe_Zoebaboe 07-02-2004 10:43 AM

Bah, that's the thing. You can't get full on McDonalds anyways. Havent you noticed that after you eat it an hour or so later you feel hungry again?

I've stopped going to Fast Food joints, it's just bad food. Ick.

Tom_PMs 07-02-2004 10:45 AM

Even if it's in CA, it's still a similar expense, isnt it?

But yeah whoa, thats a lot of cash either way for a meal that will basically only make you hungry in like 30 minutes..
I ran to the store last night and bought a couple of frozen dinners, some ground beef, some bread, cheese, milk, cereal and a bunch of other crap for like $30.

Dude, you can buy whole pre-cooked chickens that nuke pretty damn good for around $3 :)

Don't make us go intervention on your ass :warning

You must have a stomach of iron. Lucky you. After I eat it, an hour or so later I feel so disgusting that I never want to eat again. Ever.

4 places I can't eat
1. Krystal
2. McDonald's
3. Long John Silver's
4. Taco Bell

Manowar 07-02-2004 10:48 AM

McDonalds is good every once in a while , espiecally the egg mcmuffin thing they do in the mornings - but im usually never up early enough to catch it

Phoenix 07-02-2004 10:53 AM

i had written a whole thing here about your health.

but then saw that you dont eat there often

No, trust me. I know the all over feeling of fatigue and nausea it gives you. Blechie.

Other places I cant eat at anymore

1. Burger King
2. Arbys

For fast food the best place to go to is El Pollo Loco. Yum!

I would probably have them on my list except there is no Arby's nearby so I have had no experience with their food. I haven't eaten Burger King in so many years ..The odor of onions under heat lamps in Burger King turned me off for lifetime when I was young.

Spunky 07-02-2004 11:10 AM

Damn...I'm hungry now...Wendy's for lunch :thumbsup

Now Wendy's I like. I don't have one near me though so I only hit there about once a year or so.

BK --- haven't been there in like 12 years. I don't like the fact that the say your food is flame-broiled, yet when you order a burger they put it in the fucking microwave for you. Idiots.

Taco Bell --- we have another place in Winnipeg called "Taco Time"... they blow away TB for this type of food. I hit Taco Time maybe 1-2 times a year.

4Pics 07-02-2004 11:31 AM

The only person I knew who ate that much food weighed like 450pds or so.

It'd suck to need to eat that much food to get full, think of the power dumps you could do though.

Wow, that is one big meal....a really really big meal! Didn't you feel sick after it?

Elli 07-03-2004 09:54 AM

The chicken ceasar is about 7$ alone, isn't it?

My fave fast food places are taco bell and Wendy's, but I don't do them that often at all. Dairy Queen used to have killer burgers, but I havent been there in a few years now. I can't stand Burger King or Long John Silver's (the air alone in that place is enough to cause pimples!) or Arby's or A&W. Ugh. McDonald's is super close to my house, unfortunately, but I never feel quite right after eating it.

Well it's not THAT big. The burger is like 3 or 4 bites, the fries are nothing really, the salad is.....well, salad..... and the mcnugers, well, they're pretty small too. 3 of them is like one chicken finger, so really I ate 6 chicken fingers there which is a standard order at other restaurants.

I was full, but not "jam packed seeing things" full.

Yes.

The 1/4 cheese meal was what, $5 & change.....
and the 20 mcnoogers was $8 & change.

A similar amount of food there used to run be about $12 years ago.

Damn. I hope that didn't put you off of Winnipeg totally. We have some pretty fantastic burger joints here that I would take anyone passing through to.
