My girlfriend's tumor is benign!

Awesome fuckin news, she just got the biopsy results back... I'm so happy, the drinks are on me!

The ultrasounds had revealed to 97% that it was benign already, but the last tiny bit of assurance came today. I'm as happy as it gets! :thumbsup

MinX 07-01-2004 03:28 PM

Congrates dude :thumbsup

SuckOnThis 07-01-2004 03:29 PM

Thats great news! :thumbsup

I'm curious though, how would an utrasound determine that it was 97% benign?

dropped9 07-01-2004 03:29 PM

nice, just remind her to always have a positive outlook on the cancer. Making up your mind to beat it has just as much affect if not more than any treatment or medication. One of my good friends beat stomach cancer even after he was told he's only live another year. I belive he's going on 10 years sence they told him that.

Sometimes ultrasound can determine if something is likely to be benign. I think it has to do with the shape and density of it, and just plain experience. When I found a lump in my breast they first did an ultrasound. The ultrasound told them that I needed to see a surgeon right away. Three days later I was on the operating table having a lumpectomy.

It's a so-called Fibroadenoma. Spontaneous mutation of cells, often found in athletes' breasts.

That's crazy. Glad you're ok now. But you're absolutely right, experience tells you how it looks and that it's benign. Also, the fibroadenoma lump was moving around in her breast, and was not stationary. From what I understand, cancerous lumps are not moving because they are somewhat entangled in the surrounding muscle fibers and cells.

Ladies, touch yourselves and check your titties. I can't stress that enough.
