Epassporte makes 5%?

I was about to create an Epassporte account when I ran across the fees. I get taxed 5% for every $100 loaded into the account? Now I remember why I didn't sign up before. Anyway around this? It sickens me to give away cash like that. Why would any program use Epassporte as an affiliate payment method when they are charged 5% to fund the account?

Ermmm

No, ePassporte does not MAKE 5%. For credit card loads to a personal account, you are charged 5%, yes. But I guess it did not occur to you that in order for us to allow cc loading we have to PAY Visa, Interchange and the bank, just like anyone else does when accepting a credit card.

Perhaps you should look at ACH loading.

I am certain any that pay out by Epassporte fund the account via a wire transfer, which has much lower fees.

5% isnt too bad.. they do have some chargeback liabilities with the CC funding.. fair to try and recoup that.

1) At most, bank transfer fees would hover under 1%. So that is completely false.

2) There is no ACH option in the account creation process. So that is useless.

Sorry bud, I'm calling bullshit. Discount rates under 1% are a creation of your mind in this case. Loading by credit card is NOT a bank transfer, it is a credit card purchase YOU are making to load the card. It is similar in MCC to a cash advance.

ACH is available to all US users.

1) I'll gladly find the discount bank rates and show you later on. I have owned multiple retail outlets. I know what it costs to process CC on a cash advanced basis. Example: Moneybookers only charges 3% for CC which is still very high.

2) ACH is not an option in account creation.

Can you people create an account manually using my bank account? What is the ACH funding rate?

You know what the farmer said when his cow died ??

A) gee thats the first time she done that ...

pradaboy 07-01-2004 01:18 PM

if you get paid by anyone you only get charged a flatfee of $2... credit card loading is 5% yes but in comparison to a lot of other services that is cheap.

if you can do it cheaper another way do so... nobody's keeping you from it :2 cents:

I would rather use them too! But, 5% on every $100? What if you are operating with low profit margins? Do you take it out the affiliate commission? Epassporte only makes sense when receiving payment not sending.

Can I create an account and not fund it so I can only receive money?

yes you can use it that way , and just ask an affiliate to give you a gift account. then you dont even need to load it the first time.

BUT this being said , i have some rather important announcement to be made about epassporte in the next few days , tht you just might want to wait to hear before you go signing up with them.

SmokeyTheBear 07-01-2004 01:29 PM

i might be wrong with the payout schedule but i believe that if you signup with flashcash ( or are already a member ) that they pay instantly to epassporte everytime you make a sale, and they will create an epassporte account for you so you dont even need to fill the info in twice.
