The search function doesn't work correctly.
 

It isn't showing replies to threads made in the past 12 hours or so.

So, f.e when i search for all my recent threads, it is not showing threads where i posted in the last 12 hourss, only the previous ones.

Haha i noticed that as well. I was like wtf, Lensman deleted my threads hehe.

I've noticed that.. it lags sometimes.. seems to catch up eventually though. Maybe thats because of some changes they made to it to stop it being used to slow the server to a crawl?

BTW - it still doesn't work, it seems frozen. :-/

I'm sure the DB is being mirrored on another server for the search to work. Until the search's copy of the DB is up to date, new messages won't show up. It probably runs on a cron job so every 12 hours or so the DB for the search gets updated.

That's the best way to handle things honestly. Every time the board is loaded, there are a few mysql queries. If you pile search queries on top of the normal board functions, you'd slow the board down considerably. If this place were mine, that's how I would handle it too.

Perhaps you are right, but since "new search" was introcuded, it worked rather fine. And now, since about 30 hours it is frozen and this is what i am talking about.
