Ok, what gives???!!!:feels-hot

I have ad's all over the net and the local paper, but am getting no responce whatsoever! Am I not priced correctly? Here's the "Kelly's Blue Book" --> on it. Could it be "too clean"? Too many miles? What am I doing wrong here???

Here's my AutoTrader.com ad. --> I have ad's running with all the other car places too. Yahoo, roadfly, all the bmw boards, etc...

:helpme Any feedback on how to improve my chances of selling this thing would be greatly appreciated!

Just be patiant and stay firm. It takes time.

M_M 07-01-2004 09:53 AM

priced too high

EviLGuY 07-01-2004 09:59 AM

Yeah a bit high I think if you want a quick sale.. if you want to stand firm you'll likely have a bit of a wait.

Vitasoy 07-01-2004 09:59 AM

I'm sorry, but your price is wayyyy too high. The price of a car drops significantly the most the first year. Once you drive it out of the lot, consider 1K off that day alone. Retail Value3 $27,505... that's the msrp price I assum, what's the dealers price? I think you need to drop a few more K just so it gains a little more interest. :2 cents:

ida been interested in it for AZ if the timing was right

adjektiv 07-01-2004 10:03 AM

Nobody buys used cars when you can get 0% financing and $5,000 rebates. You should trade it in for something else if you want to get rid of it.

Snake Doctor 07-01-2004 10:04 AM

The private party value is about $24,500....that should be where you start.
If you read the fine print on the retail value you'll see why its more and why you can't offer the things included in that.

Also, Kelly Blue Book isn't always accurate for your area, check some of the other books out there like the yellow NADA book and the black book.

On another note, people want to be able to say the blue book on a car is X and I only paid Y....so you probably won't even get the $24,500 for it.

I realize the deprecation is large in the first few years... but I think you misunderstood the kellys-blue-book... if you look at the details, that's the dealer price on a 4 year old car with 45k miles. My car's original MSRP was over $50,000.

I'm priced exactly $1000 under retail.

Still think that's too high? The car is absolutely flawless.:helpme

riosluts 07-01-2004 10:59 AM

damn that is such a hot car. Why do you want to get rid of it

axelcat 07-01-2004 11:00 AM

nice car

cosis 07-01-2004 11:00 AM

Price is a little high for a 2000 manual, it's a nice car

riosluts 07-01-2004 11:02 AM

If I were you, i would look at other similar BMW M's being sold in your area and compare the prices. Try to make it within the same price range, or try to make it the lowest and you'll get the most responces then

I used to sell cars for a living. If you try and trade that car in you will be offered around 18K to 19K

The market is soft for this vehichle. You will get around 24k for that car max.

Take a look at www.NADA.com this is the REAL blue book..Not Kelly.. Kelly is made for dealers advatage.. its to fool the consumer

North American Automobile Dealers association is what the REAL car dealers use.

Make sure you watch ebay as well as the market in your area. The Blue Book actually can almost be worthless in some cases.

keyboard warrior 07-01-2004 08:36 PM

16k on ebay

Mr. Marks 07-01-2004 10:10 PM

Good luck with the sales!:winkwink:

kowntafit 07-01-2004 10:29 PM

It's a sweet looking car. I'm sure with the right price you will have no trouble selling it.

Alex Xe 07-01-2004 10:33 PM
