Cutting my hair incites threats!
 

Okay. A bit of background. My hair is almost long enough to touch the small of my back when wet; when dry, it's lower-back area length. It's getting to be a pain in the ass to keep brushed and washing it takes forever, much less the time it takes to dry.

I mentioned to a friend of mine that I wanted to cut it. Take off maybe a foot and donate it to Locks of Love.

He told me in no uncertain terms that if I even TOUCHED a pair of shears or walked into a salon, he would see to it that I was taken out in the middle of the street and shot.

WTF?! Any other women have this kind of issue about their hair? :helpme

I like my girls hair long too.. I have not had to resort to threats of death tho...

Come to think about it she does keep cutting it... Maybe I should try that tactic...

Careful if you do use it: I had a good mind to shave my head out of spite. Do make sure she doesn't have a hot Irish temper before you proceed with this plan. :2 cents:

Sorry, I must agree with your friend, however, I don't think that you should be shot for this crime (cutting your hair),

rather, I beleive that you should have a large HC pinned on your shirt and have ravenous hamsters (that have been previously trained to crave human flesh), tied to your head.

Yes, but I'm recently finding (by way of icq) that I have more than one admirer of my hair and if I cut it, it will be seen at Internext, and then my ass is toast.

I think at this juncture it would be prudent to leave it alone. :helpme

Hey thats a nice thing you are thinking of doing. Some poor kid could probably really use it. I say cut it,, what kind of friend would judge you by your hair over your kind actions??

I've donated once, and would be glad to do it again.

Plus your hair will look much fuller at a shorter length and be healthier so it will grow quickly

Doesn;t sound like even cutting a foot off would be that huge a change.

.. its weird how many people get attached to long hair .. I usually let mine grow all summer (down to the middle of my back) and chop it off in december (above my shoulders) .. my stylist always bitches because she never wants to cut that much of my hair off .. but it always grows back .. :winkwink:

Yeha, I used to have hair to my knees and everyone said if I cut it they'd kill me.. I cut it and I'm still alive. It's down to my ass now but I don't plan on cutting it again.. I missed it too much!

My hair grows fast, but not THAT fast! Holy yiminy!


LM: When I got my first real haircut, the hair tickled the back of my calves. I actually donned a flesh-tone bodysuit and went as Lady Godiva for Halloween the October before the haircut.

Damn, did I feel lightheaded after that. It was a boot-camp cut: cut to the top of the collar of my shirt. :glugglug

One of my friends cut her hair, i forced myself not to talk to her for 2 days just to show my dissapointment. Long hair is gorgeous, and as of yet i have not met a woman who cut her hair short and did not regret it by day 2. A foot will not be to bad for you and it is a worthy cause, but i am telling you, you will miss your hair.
