I think how much traffic you have as opposed to how much money you have would be more important. But anyway to answer your question:

There are just way too many expensive items. Content ain't free. Bandwidth is an expensive bitch. And that's just the basics.

I've heard more than one person say you need at LEAST $1million if you want to be able to live off the profits.

Getting members is free. Keeping members is very expensive.

i didn't save up shit to start my site and as soon as i started linking it i made profits. i had spent a few hundred on a camera and took all my own content to get me started but that's about it.

granted i still do most of my own content and live cam shows but it's actually a blast.

i have been looking long and hard into those leased live feeds and so far i am unimpressed. many of them, it seems, ask your surfer to pay even more for 1-on-1's to see the girls actually do anything. this bugs me, i am not about to make them pay to join my site then pay some other chick just to get her to take her panties off. i have my own video clip collection so i am not referring to pre-recorded feeds, only the live ones where the chicks don't take their panties off.


i am actually in the market for live feeds with chat that are actually hardcore. if anyone knows of a decent set up let me know.

lots of amateur chicks are trading feeds but i don't want to do this. the big trend is to offer 25 other amateur sites live cams in your site. if your the chick on cam it sucks as you have to chat with 26 sites worth of members. thats not fair to your sites members who expect more personal attention from a real amateur site.

The amber and susan have it! If you can start without paying big $$$ for content then you can start on a shoe string and build from there. Rather than use content you buy on the net, get a digital camera and practice your ass off with it. Get really good at taking pictures of everything and anything. Then start looking for women to get naked. If you can find a chick that wants to take part in the site, that's fine and then you have someone to help out with a lot of the really boring shit. If not, find some that will do nude modeling and pay them. The advantage is the profits from the site are all yours. For between $600 and $1000 you can have enough pics to start. Once the sign ups start coming in, you can add content such as streaming video etc. but keep it within the budget of the site. Make the site make the money to push it further.
