Does anybody here still use the Netscape Browser.

They used to be number one, now I don't even see that word anymore. Any of you still use it???

Thinking about downloading it, had it up to here with this shitty I.E.

AaronM 06-30-2004 11:04 PM

Nope.

Dagwolf 06-30-2004 11:05 PM

nope :) I've been turned off to it since the first time I installed it and it hijacked my bookmarks. That was several years ago and I don't think they do it anymore, though...

FilthyRob 06-30-2004 11:07 PM

I used to use it all the time until I started noticing that webpages just don't look right sometimes with it.

I switched to IE mostly, but the fucking hijack hackers are turning me off of IE really bad.

Cant say that I do, IE definately took the market.

abyss_al 06-30-2004 11:11 PM

Manowar 06-30-2004 11:13 PM

Websites look like shit with the nutscrape browser. It isn't compatible with so many of the cool little scripts out there like IE is.

I use it to view the pages I develop to make sure they are cross-browser compatible in certain aspects, but that's it.

Of course... Based on the stats for June on one site, 12% of the surfers used Netscape. So I make sure my sites look good and work in Netscape so I don't miss out on any sales.

This is interesting... Netscape was only 8% back in September.. looks like IE may be losing some market share.

Semi-Retired-Dave 06-30-2004 11:51 PM

That is true, I used to only use Netscrape back in the late 90's. I remember using it for everything.

Its amazing how things get turned around.

BobChezule 06-30-2004 11:52 PM

IE has like 99% of the market. Most sites are designed for IE, so I don't see why you'd use Netscape.
