Any Penthouse subscribers willing to give me a hand?
 

So, I've been absent from the boards quite a bit... I was really enjoying the information and help I'd been getting here, but then my health took a serious downswing and on top of that my chinchilla had babies which have to be fed every two hours (which means no rest for me). Anyway, I got an email from a Penthouse subscriber yesterday that said my site (grim-kitten.com) had been mentioned in an article in the latest Penthouse issue (the one subscribers are just now receiving). The article is about online gaming (possibly written by David Kushner?) and mentioned myself and my site, apparently. I called the editorial desk at Penthouse in an effort to verify this, but they haven't gotten back to me yet, and then I thought that maybe someone here was a subscriber and had the same issue.

I'd really like to know what the article says, if possible... and make sure that my site is indeed mentioned. If it is, I will have to try to put my illness aside for a while and work on some major site updates (my regular members are very supportive of my health and understand about the infrequent updates, but it would look bad to a first time visitor), but if it is isn't actually mentioned in the article I can continue to take some time off.

Maybe if anyone has this issue they could scan the article and email it to me at [email protected]? In the meantime I'll see what I can manage in the way of updating, and hopefully get some work done, but it would be good to know how much traffic to expect and how much work I need to do.

No subscribers tonight? I would go pick it up, but usually an issue doesn't hit the newsstand until a week or two after the subscribers get it, and the way I've been feeling I'm not really looking forward to going out to the store if it's not even going to have what I'm looking for.

I tried to get the guy that emailed me originally to scan it for me, but his scanner isn't working... pfft.

i just did that this week for some other mag... they only charged $5 over the cover price to get it to me

I won't have to back order it... they'll send me a copy if my site is actually mentioned in the article. I'm trying to verify that it is mentioned and what is said about it as soon as possible, though. In the first place, people will email me about the article and I won't know what it said, and in the second place if there isn't actually such an article then I will continue to take some time off and work on my health. If there is an article then I'll have to do some updating on the site, I think.

Subscribers are receiving the issue now, and I won't be able to buy it on the newsstand or receive it in the mail for 1-2 weeks (subscribers always receive a magazine before it's available to the general public). So, I thought I'd see if anyone here already had it and could give me a summary of what it says (or a scan of the actual article).

Thanks... I offered a one month membership to the people that had emailed me about it already, but so far one has a broken scanner and the others haven't gotten back to me yet, so I thought I'd try here (I would have offered a one month membership here, but didn't figure anyone would want it =P). Maybe Penthouse will get back to me tomorrow and at least be able to let me know the general idea of what was written. =D
