Ack! why do your sites resize
a viewer's browser???

Are you trying to make me look bad? Lots of people resize their windows to fill the screen. I, for one, cannot stand having windows open smaller than the full size screen. If anything this is helping people. What kind of surfer comes to my site and wants it shrunk so that the tables scroll off the screen? I hate having my site loaded in a window that is too small.

Does this piss anyone off? I have lots of code in my site to ensure that it loads properly (i.e. subframes force the entire site to load, etc.)

Why is this bad? And why are you picking on me in particular...?

That's my biggest complaint about my MAC at work. (I'm a hardcore PC user) The Macs at work always open new browser windows smaller than the full monitor size. I FUCKIN' HATE THAT!!!

What I also think is funny, is that at work, we have only MACS, (except for the PC that I brought in) and they only use PC software on them. It doesn't make any sense. They use Microsoft Word to write letters and format checks, and IE to browse the net. Fuckin' idiots.

I had to bring in a spare PC to use. I absolutely hate using a MAC.

Its considered impolite to mess with a surfers browser on that level. You should give them the choice in an option page. Mess with my icons on my screen and I scratch out your eyes! lol I use 1152x864 and don't want kicked back to 800x600 etc just cuz a webmaster decides it for me! lol

i'm with juge on this! new screen should be full screen and optimised so it's seen as the maker intended.

i agree with the freedom of the surfer, but if the sufer is stupid and uses small browser windows and makes our sites look bad without even realizing it... fuck 'em.

Thumbs down only referred to the item in my message and nothing else. The subject line was to get your attention. Why would that make you look bad? If someone is going to make a full fledged decision about you (or your site) from an icon and a subject line, they need to be shaken.

It is bad because you're changing someone's settings. I have my browser window set to a certain size for my own reasons. There's no reason I need to have a 1600x1200 web viewing screen. I also don't like the fact that it hides pop-ups.

If everything is shrunken and there's a horizontal scroll bar, the viewer has the choice to make their window larger.

Also, you use % in your site, so why do you need to maximize the window? It's not like you wrote the site to fit in 1024x756 absolutely, you have relative sizes which should make the site fit properly in any size window.

I'm not picking on you. The only reason I went to your site because I thought it might be interesting, but that window resizing script made me close the browser.
