US rates going up today, finally the CDN will drop.

the rates going up will not have much effect on the dollars conversion in the short term as the US long bond has already priced this move and another move into it. the 10 yera bond is already a fiull 1% above its lows. So you already have seen any move in currency you are gonna see.

like Lars said it's most likely been priced in for quite a while. Dollar will react more strongly though if the Fed surprises and moves half a point

1/4 point move and the long bond rates went down as predicted..
