Help with downloaded movie

So I download a movie and I find out ( after 2 fucking days of downloading) that it are all .cue files and .dat files. Now how do I play this and on what? I've tried Winamp, WMP, Real and my dvdplayer and it doesn't work on anything. I have never heard of a .cue file can someone explain me how this works?

Thanks a lot in advance

Try downloading VLC media player, that usually plays everything for me

Not familiar with them either..But have often downloaded unrecognised files and barr a few dodgy D/L usually end up finding the files in update...have u run a search for these files? Not sure this is any help...but good luck :thumbsup

I'll try that one thanks

And yes Minx I googled "how to play a .cue" and the only answers so far are that a .cue file makes sure the .bin files are writen over as well, and that I should be able to burn them on cd with Nero, so I will try that if downloading another player doesn't work.

Yeah those aren't movie files.. they are snapshots of CD's.. which you are supposed to burn.

If you get a program like isobuster you can just extract the info without burning it..

Try rename the .dat file to .mpg.
It works if its a .bin file so maybe it works for .dat too.

It was a .bin file not a .dat file, my mistake I thought is was .dat

Next time you can get a program like deamon tools, and it'll mount the iso file and create an cd drive *just like if you burned it on cd* :)

italianninja 06-30-2004 05:42 AM

yep vlc is cool or simply extract the .dat

NakedBo 06-30-2004 06:46 AM

Bo, i see some ppl already gave ya help here.

But check out isobuster great program all ya do is open the bin file with it, extract the files then play the .dat file in media player or any dvd software player.
