I have to brag....
I'm sorry... but I have to brag. I have the postion of being the luckiest Dad in the world. My 16 month old son is the light of my life, the reason I wake up, and overall why I'm a happy Bling Daddy. How many kids at 16 months....
- Turn their own TV off for bed - Are interested in "potty training" - Go to bed EVERY NIGHT at 6:30pm and wake up at 6:30am - Don't cry at night (unless there's thunder) - Know the difference between a "tree" and a "bush" - Can rememer all family names and recognize them - Turn the bath on when they want one - Go to ANYWHERE in public and smile at strangers - Knows "McDonalds" nuggets only come once a week. (on Friday) - Knows his ear, teeth, belly button, cheek, knee, toes, fingers, nose, and more and can point to them. Whatever... I know how you feel. I dont have any kids but I love my little cousin dylan like he was my own. hes a really smart kid.

That is really sweet. Don't mean to rain on your parade...but "un-teach" him how to turn on the bath when he wants one. At his age bathtubs are a no-no...he can drown in 2 inches or less of water or he could suffer severe 3rd degree burns on this delicate little skin if he ends up in hot water.
By the sounds of you, you are a loving parent who adores his child. However, being a mother I know how accidents can happen in seconds and we can't keep our eyes on them every moment of the day. Time will pass quickly, keep enjoying those presicous early years. It sounds like you are having a blast. |
