freaken Roadrunner now limiting me to 1,000 outgoing emails/day
I send losergrams to all my jerky boys on an infrequent basis. But when I tried to send the losergrams this weekend Roadrunner shut down my account after the first 1,000 outgoing emails!
They are automatically "throttling" outgoing email supposedly to cut down on spam and virus emails. I'd like to freaken throttle them. At midnight I was allowed to send emails again, but big deal. At 1,000 a day it's going to take me like all month to send one email to my list. So now Time Warner wants me to upgrade to a commercial account. On top of what I'm paying for premium cable, HBO, MLB, tivo, and roadrunner residential they want another grand a year just so I can get the level of service I have had for the last couple years. I can afford it but I don't want to pay if I can find a workaround. Any solutions guys? Also I just saw Farenheit 911 so this email throttling pretty much effectively shuts down any mass grassroots political email lists on roadrunner huh. paranoidly and pissed-offedly yours, Susan Humiliatrix.com p.s. here' s what the flak catcher in "customer care" in virginia sez: On 6/29/04 1:12 PM, "Executive Response Center" <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello, > > Thank you for responding. Right, want to send out a couple thousand emails and it isn't commercial or spam?
Sure, we all believe you. |

They sent that notice of the new policy and only allowing 1000 emails per day at least 2 weeks ago....maybe more.
I don't see a need to send more than 1000 from my personal email account. IF I send any mass emails to customers/members or what have you, I use my server based mail. Why not do the same? Ivy |
What's the problem? You can still send them by webmail :1orglaugh

Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
It's not spam. It's a solicited losergram, it only goes to losers who ask for it. I don't spam. N'kay? So I will have to figure out how to use the damn server-based email. Thank you for your assistance and good night, gentlemen. |
Time warner can kiss my ass. I am happy as hell to be with a different ISP. I miss all the movie channels but I can just get a a dish for that and honestly I think the DSL we have now is much much faster and more reliable. We run 2 PC's and a PS2 all online at the same time and there is no lag. That seems pretty damn good to me.

I use Mojo/Dada mail to send to my mailing list which is in the thousands, and I use RoadRunner. (other than price I am a happy RR customer)
Mojo is free and allows for double opt-in so RR can't say a word about it |

they should limit everyone to 1 email a day. Everyone would get alot more work done. If they cant go to the page to check for updates then they dont want/need the email
