How to get someones IP by sending him a email?
 

ok, someone may have ripped me of 130$.
I would like to get his IP.

Is there any way I can get it by sending him a email and when he opens it some 1x1 pixel image loads from my server and saves his IP? Or some other way like that?

I would like to know if he use a proxy or something when he checks/sends his email.
If he does not the police can easily trace him down.

lol. Only reason I could think he would want his IP. Not much you can get from an IP address considering the majority are dynamic.

How excactly did he receive the money?
With CC you can charge back.
With paypal you can charge back.
With Western Union you can file a fraud complaint.
Wth a bank transfer you have all his details.
If you send a check you have all his details.
If you received any mails from him before, you will have his IP and his mailservers IP in the header from the E-mail.

Heres an easy way to get his i.p.

Just send him an email with a picture from your web server example img = this-gif-doesnt-exist.gif in html format..

Then read your error logs for the ip. Very simple

I find sometimes if you pretend to be foreign and or realy stupid people reply like if hes a designer do like:
