WildCash

Matt, please reply to my e-mails and ICQs from yesterday and today concerning all your hosted galleries for FuckHerThroat

none of the movies on the hosted galleries link to the movie clips, but instead redirect to your main tour page without our affiliate codes

i have checked all 84 and they are all the same :(

here is an example: http://galleries.wildcash.com/galler.../100102/01/1/1

i figured people with these hosted galleries in their database would like to know about this

SiMpLe 06-29-2004 10:48 AM

Good call man - Thanks for the heads up, I have them loaded too. Now i get to pull them all (joy).

WiredGuy 06-29-2004 10:52 AM

Nice catch Easton :)

Easton 06-29-2004 10:58 AM

i noticed it yesterday at 12pm and at first i thought it was just my imagination or my router!

but it's EVERY hosted gallery... imagine how many signups the affiliates lost (who knows how long it's been like this)

Sheri Santiago 06-29-2004 10:58 AM

dammit, now i have to go through all the sites and pull them.

waste of an afternoon

Makingcoin 06-29-2004 01:00 PM

I am sure it is a simple mistake. This is when a phone number would come in handy. Maybe a script error. I am sure he will compensate for the downtime.

i hope so too... i have sent 2 e-mails (one yesterday and one today to Matt's addy on the support page) and also a bunch of ICQs...

maybe someone knows their phone number (in the UK i guess)?

Weppel 06-29-2004 01:06 PM

Looks like all his mpegs are gone (go 404), and his 404 redirecting script takes over or something. Give them a call to check things out i'd say :2 cents:

well since i don't have the phone number, that's hard to do!

so i hope that between the e-mails, ICQs and now this thread, they will let us all know what's going on

:)

*bump* for an explanation...

wtfent 06-29-2004 03:38 PM

I noticed that last night, I however did not notice that our aff #'s were not in the url. That sucks. Thanks for the heads up.:thumbsup

you're welcome...

our affiliate URLs are in the banners/text links on the gallery but the second the surfer clicks the video (which they obviously will before clicking the sponsor link) they are redirected to the tour page without our code, so we are losing the traffic/sale

:helpme

wtfent 06-29-2004 03:53 PM

Maybe thats why I have'nt had any sales in the last few days.

super_tech 06-29-2004 04:54 PM

Hi All,

I've checked this thread out and can assure you all there is no problem.

Wildcash have several types ways you can generate traffic and earn dollars.

In this case, yes the web pages are hosted at galleries.wildcash.com. Also the mpg's are streamed from galleries.wildcash.com.

But your affiliate id is in the url and hpyerlinks on the web page. So when
a user clicks to sign up you earn dollars.

So what if the trailer (mpg) streams from galleries.wildcash.com - that's free bandwidth for you to use on a 100 MB link!

All this complex stuff is generated by
PHP in the background using all those numbers in the URL.

This type of affiliate plan means you, the affiliate, needs no web pages or mpg's or any thing! Just put that link, with your affiliate id, in as many places as you can!

So far this all comes to you at no cost whatsoever. Some things in life are free.

Please post more messages if your note sure, I'm happy to explain more.

Thanks

please tell me you're kidding... you totally missed the point:

all the hosted movie clips redirect to the main tour, meaning the surfer cannot even view them... and the redirected tour page does not carry our affiliate code since it is likely coming from a general 404 redirection

please explain that

doober 06-29-2004 05:46 PM

did the dude even click a gallery link and test the mpg file?

OMG lol

boneprone 06-29-2004 05:52 PM

Honest mistake.

I forget to link images to images and movies to movies all the time..

Accidently linking em to a paysite with no refcode can happen to the best of us.

Matt_WildCash 06-29-2004 06:21 PM

Hello

This is Matthew from Wildcash.com

I just got into work and have just got my ICQ's and emails and just found out about this thread.

We have found the problem and fixed it. The problem was anti hotlinking doing something strange. We have turned it off and will not engage it again without extensive re-testing.

We did test it before we made it live but the problem seems to be that our local ISP has cached all movies so on our end it looked like it still worked perfectly but to others it wasn't.

We only engaged the anti hot linking 3 days ago and will of course reemburse our very valued affilates for this downtime. Please accept my applogies for this mistake we test everything we do before making it live but in this case we got tripped up by a local ISP caching our pages and movies.

I will be discussing with my business partner how best to reemburse affilates who are using our hosted galleries in the next couple of hours and will most probably do a mail out to all wildcash webmasters with our solution later today / tomorrow.

Again please accept our applogies for this technical mistake.

Easton thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Kind regards

Matthew Clapham
