help! my computer has a demon inside!
i ran spy sweep and my virus protection software, but for some reason when I click on a link, i'll get random porn sites popping up on my computer. Obviously, it's taken over my system...any advice on how to safely remove this?

Have you used pest patrol? Also you can go into your cp and delete most of the once that have been downloaded in your comp.

Use these links:
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=home http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html What's the link to the pornsites popping up? Its obvious your IE got hijacked and possibly changed or added a few things in your registry. |

Get Adaware, and run McAfee

I had the same exact problem for several days. This is caused by a new trojan that isn't normally detected by spyware killers. I finally managed to save my computer from the nasty DeepAnal.us popups, etc. by installing Ad Aware 6.0 then clicking 'Update'. This downloaded the newest trojan definitions. I haven't had an issue since! You must update Ad Aware. Older versions didn't pick up the trojan.

I was taken down a couple of weeks ago so I'm hyper sensitive to this stuff now.
Ad Aware Pro and Trend Micro scan seem to do a decent job: http://housecall.trendmicro.com/hous...start_corp.asp |
