Seldom does a movie come out that speaks the truth so loudly that it makes you want to cry. For me that movie is Fahrenheit 911.

Those of you who are contemplating downloading Fahrenheit 911 for free....DON'T! Please go and see this movie in the theatres and support this movie with your money.

This is not an argument of wether pirating is wrong or right, but if you support peace, send a loud and clear message to Bush and his supporters with your pocket book. Please do not help the pirating of this movie.

And don't forget to buy the DVD when it comes out !

seriously though people should go see it, but if you dont belive moore deserves any of your money then simply download it. Sure it points out what you already know and it is 1 sided but its supposed to be like that.

Well, I had no other choice... Most theatres out here are banning the movie so i decided to d/l it. I'll pick it up on DVD when it's released also. Only half way through the movie and it's spoken volumes.. How do you call it lies and propaganda when they use your own media against you. That's what I love most about moore, penn & teller, etc

they'll use your own bullshit against you -- look at you and ask you what now.

I also might suggest The Three Little Pigs, Little Red Riding Hood, and my personal favorite: Humpty Dumpty. The ending always makes me cry on the last one there. Because all the kings men couldn't put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Know why? Because there is no Humpty Dumpty, and there is no truth on television OR politics.

Michael Moore whined so loud when this movie got an "R" rating and it meant it was going to lighten his pockets, then I have to hear this whining about supporting him. Please. What seven figure income did he make last weekend? Shit, we should be so lucky.

It's all an endless cycle of bullshit and we're mere spectators, don't get caught up.

SykkBoy2 -- that's why I said 7 figure income. Of course the theatres will take a bulk of it, but this was a very low budget film I could see him easily taking home over 5 million off of one weekend.

And his arguments would have more merit if they weren't just for shock value to make the money.

He doesn't advertise, which cuts cost of the film... He makes the movies about subjects that are shocking so news organizations or politicians will do all of the advertising for him.

This is further proven by his last film "Bowling for Columbine," which I explained in an earlier post. If he truely believes the bullshit he puts on that specific film, he would live in Canada. Whether he was bashing America (I would believe this more), or trying to make a film why Canada was so good; he obviously didn't act upon his own conclusions on the film.

It's like working for an employer and constantly bitching and moaning about how they treat the people so bad, and spread the word how it's competitor is so great. You can't tell me you don't find these people the least bit... annoying... He's doing the same thing.

I downloaded and watched it already but only after trying to go see on the weekend and it was sold out everywhere...I will go out to watch it this weekend with the GF though but i just HAD to see the movie, which was amazing!!!

And don't forget to watch "Bowling for Columbine" which also draws attention to the serious issues Us has

I've never before in all my years had so many people during the course of the day ask if I've seen the movie yet. Christ I was even just buying a smoothie yesterday and the guy making it for me asks me if I've seen Fahrenheit 911 yet.

Michael Moore was more upset by something else than the loss of money from the R-rating. He wanted a big target audience to be the kids just finishing up school where the next batch of bodies entering the military would come from. As it is now, by the time they are old enough to see the film they could already be living it first-hand.

I haven't seen it yet (gonna try this weekend). How much of the movie would you say is false?

I don't think the movie is dishonest.
On a factual basis I'd say mostly everything in the movie is true. What some people will disagree with is the way it is woven together to tell a complete story. There's a whole lot of connecting the dots.

Anyone know any good sites that objectively analyse the movie? I've seen one about Bowling for Columbine, wouldn't mind seeing one for this flick..

The decision to let some Saudis leave the USA shortly after 9/11 and alleged connections among the Bush family, Saudi royalty and Osama bin Laden's family

Moore questions why the Bush administration allowed 142 Saudis, including members of bin Laden's family, to fly out of the USA Sept. 14 through Sept. 24, 2001. He suggests that business ties between oil-rich Saudi Arabia and the Bush family might have resulted in special treatment for some Saudi citizens ? even though 15 of the 19 terrorists who hijacked planes on 9/11 were Saudis.

The implication: Saudis who might have had information about the attacks ? or even been involved ? slipped through the president's fingers.

But the movie does not point out that the FBI interviewed about 30 of the Saudis before they left the USA and that investigators say no one on board the planes has turned out to be of interest. The independent 9/11 commission has reported that "each of the flights we have studied was investigated by the FBI and dealt with in a professional manner prior to its departure."

An alleged connection between Bush and the Taliban that ruled Afghanistan

In December 1997, a delegation of top Taliban officials visited the USA at the invitation of officials from Unocal, a California-based oil and gas company with extensive business dealings in Texas. At the time, Unocal was pursuing a deal to construct a gas pipeline through Afghanistan. Moore notes that the delegation visited Texas while Bush was governor. He doesn't say the delegation met with Bush, but that is implied.

In fact, Bush did not meet with the Taliban representatives. What Moore also doesn't say is that Clinton administration officials at the State Department did sit down with the Taliban officials and that their visit was made with the Clinton administration's permission.

I must be enlightening to some and a "danger" to others. There is little "new news" in it - this shit has been going on for a few years now. That was during the time all I heard about was that the sun was shining outta Bush's ass and the majority of the US people backed his phoney war. Bush was an perversity on taking office and has continued this since, dressing up as a "Commander in Chief", uttering bs rhetoric, lying and posing to match the image.

First showing people the things that are wrong in this country is not bashing it . Its shedding light on shit so together we can fix it. Also he never gave the impression that saudi's knew before hand. He shows tons of pictures and news footage. Also FOX is very one sided how come I see noone crying about that. Dont be sheep open your mind for one thing you are not one of them you work in the adult industry so they think you are the biggest piece of garbage in the world.

O.K., I'll spell it out for you...Moore is a wealthy man that has convinced his audience that giving him more money is a blow against Bush. He is getting seriously rich preaching to the converted telling them what they want to hear. I find this amusing.

I don't like George Bush, but that doesn't mean I gotta be MM's sucker.

If you want a better chance of peace, then don't vote for the guy the next time. I think that's a clear enough signal :)

Did you even watch it? 90% of it was clips from the media. He just put it all together in a very interesting package.
