dns on my domain
I switched host and changed the dns info last wednesday on my domain.....I'm trying to submit some new galleries and the script (al4a.com) tells me the page is redirecting.......how long should it take to propagate??? Is there anything I can do???
|
Should only take 24 - 48 hours. Do a DIG on your domain from multiple points to see if it's propagated or if there's issues somewhere.
|
http://www.squish.net/dnscheck/ check your dns servers there.
|
Usually takes 48 to 72 hours, but I've seen it done in one day.
This seems a little long though. Check with your host to make sure they have the domain in their nameservers. marc |
shit! I guess that explains the low ctr on thehun on sunday. My gallery only got like 350 hits to the sponsor when I avg 2K at least
|
It should have propagated by now. Point your local DNS on your PC to the new host DNS and see if the site comes up. If not, then the host is not setup properly.
|
your host propably didn't setup the domain proparly, tell them to double check that your domain is setup on their end. :2 cents:

I'm going to double check with the host
would the other scripts detect the redirect? it seems like its only al4a.com that picked it up.....the others are going through without any problems...... thanks for the help |
I had that happen once, but I didn't let it go that long. After 3 days the hosting company restarted their name servers and it seemed to do the trick.
