It would have to have firewire to make it worth it.

|
why not just use the camera? i just run my s-video cable from my camera right to the vcr or tv. you could try ebay though.

Maybe have a look here http://www.dvwonline.com/dv.html, they have Sony DHR 1000.

sony GVD-900 or higher... mini-DV deck w/ integrated LCD display..
|
I've seen sony players go bad, we just sent 2 back for repairs after they were fixed less than a year ago.
Most economical idea is to buy a MiniDV camera for about $300 and use that as a player. Replacing it will cost about the same as repairs, and can serve as a backup camera. Mike B |
Go with the JVC HR-DVS3 S-VHS / DV Combo Deck only $775.
http://www.videoguys.com/jvc.htm I have the previous model and purchased mine when it was $1500 thru these guys. |

But sometimes you need a real deck with better control than a cheap camera. |
I'd say you should hit Ebay and see what is available

I don't remember where, but I once saw an item that had a mini-DV player and in the same unit had a DVD burner. You could simply put your mini DV in one side and burn it to DVD.
How cool is that? |
